Remember to Say Thank-You
Thursday, January 8th, 2009No, I’m not going to preach or scold (I don’t like it either – so why would I do it to you). Remember to say “Thank-you” to people. Even if it is family members, it counts! People really do like to hear it come out of your mouth. It is an act of kindness.
Have you told someone thank-you, lately? Did you really mean it? It lets them know you really appreciate them and what they do for you each and every day.
Sometimes the daily grind of life gets in the way and we forget to tell people thank-you. It hit me yesterday morning, that I haven’t really told my husband thank-you for going to work and FREEZING. He works outside and it has been -26 to -40 degrees Fahrenheit outside for 2 weeks now with an additional week to go. Yes, you read that right MINUS 26 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit – DARN COLD! I told him I appreciated all he is doing to support my effort to get the website (this one) going to help people. I know, one day, when the website is really helping people – suddenly all those freezing days will have been worth it. It will leave him with a WARM fuzzy inside, knowing we helped lots of people.
So don’t forget to say Thank-you to people, even family members. They are people, too.
Stay Warm,
Vicki
